Performance Feed History
Ralph and Carol Hanby established Hanby Farms, Inc. in 1965. With a commitment to producing the highest quality products at a reasonable value to their customers, the family developed a thriving agronomy business while providing a personal touch and dedication to customer service.
In 1983, Hanby Farms became a full-service supplier of animal nutrition products with the construction of its state-of-the-art feed manufacturing facility and the development of its Performance Feed brand. Since then, numerous renovations and additions have been made, including pelletizing, automatic packaging, small packaging, and robotic palletizing to help expand the business and facilitate greater volumes.
In April 2020, Heritage Cooperative acquired the feed manufacturing and agronomy supply from Hanby Farms, including the Performance Feed brand. Performance Feed continues to be a high-value resource for feed dealers throughout Ohio and surrounding states.
Today, Heritage Cooperative operates the feed manufacturing facility in Nashport, Ohio. In addition to Performance brand feeds, the mill also manufactures private-label premium quality textured and pelleted feeds for many other feed companies.
