Throughout his life, Chris has been involved in various areas of agriculture. He was raised on his family’s farm in Carroll County, OH where they raised beef cattle and hay. His family also owned and operated a farm machinery dealership where they sold Allis-Chalmers and New Holland equipment. Chris spent a lot of time with his Grandfather, who just happened to be a genuine horseman. This is where his interest in horses and the horse industry began.
Chris earned a B.S. in Agriculture from Colorado State University, Ft. Collins, Colorado, where he studied equine science. He previously worked at Mars Horsecare US, Inc. and Central Farm and Garden. Chris, his wife Alison and their Australian Shepherd “Blue”, currently reside on a farm in Carroll County, OH. They have a small herd of registered Shorthorn beef cattle and actively show American Quarter Horses throughout the eastern US.
Chris is the Equine Nutrition Specialist for Heritage Cooperative.
